Matt Kerwick named JU's first men's lacrosse coach
With a vast amount of knowledge and experience in and around lacrosse, JU named Matt Kerwick as the school's first men's lacrosse coach on Wednesday.
After going through nearly 200 resumes to find the first head coach of the only Division I men's program in Florida, Kerwick's passion and vision to build the JU men's lacrosse program from scratch was infectious. Kerwick will have a year and a half to build the program in anticipation of the varsity team's first game in 2010.

Women’s soccer shuts out Flagler, 5-0

Just five days away from the season opener at Savannah State, the Dolphins were breaking down film as they turned their eyes to the upcoming season.

Volleyball defeats Alumni in preseason warm up
The JU volleyball team got its first game experience of the year while 10 former Dolphins got to play on campus for the first time since ending their careers as the 2008 squad won a spirited match over the JU Alumni, 4-0, Saturday evening at newly renovated Swisher Gymnasium.

Update: Women’s soccer and Flagler reschedule Sunday match to Monday
The JU women’s soccer team will get one extra day off as the match between the Dolphins and Flagler scheduled for Sunday in St. Augustine, Fla. has been pushed back to Monday. The match is still set for 7 p.m. The two teams pushed back the date due to the effects of Tropical Storm Fay.
